Is the Exodus historical? Critics argue that the evidence reveals the Exodus is folklore. Critics argue that there are no extra biblical records for the Exodus in Egypt or the Near East. They also argue that the archaeological data of Canaan does not match up with the Exodus. Critics state that there is no record of the Hebrews in the Egyptian records and that the plagues would have decimated Egypt but this is never mentioned in Egyptian records. It seems the case against the Exodus is Overwhelming. At a recent conference hosted by the Waialae Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, Pat addressed many of these challenges and presented a case for the Exodus.
