Collective delusion occurs when the following conditions are present. There are individuals with a common belief but have a low education level, the group has a strong belief in the paranormal, and there is pressure to group conformity. Skeptics argue these conditions were present among the disciples of Christ and thus, collective delusion provides a viable explanation for the resurrection account of Jesus.
