Jason came home and told his parents about his new teacher at school. He said, “our teacher is a man but he said that he identifies as a woman and wants us to call him sarah and refer to used the pronoun mam or miss. I felt a little weird but that is what we are told and must respect every person’s wish about gender.” Jason’s Parents looked at one another not knowing what to say. How do we respond when we face issues like this?
