Evidence and Answers Conference: Truth: Finding Clarity in Confusing Times
August 21 @ 7:00 pm - August 22 @ 3:00 pm
Truth: what is it? Is it relative or absolute? What determines truth and can we know it? We live in not only a post-Christian culture but a post-truth culture that is confused about what is truth. This is the most significant issue our culture faces today. C.S. Lewis stated that the poison of subjectivism “will certainly end our species and damn our souls if it is not crushed;…” Philosopher Peter Kreeft states, “There has never been a society of relativists. Therefore, our society will do one of three things: either disprove one of the most universally established laws of all history; or repent of its relativism and survive; or persist in its relativism and perish.” The welfare of the church and our nation is at stake. This is the issue we are addressing at this year’s Evidence and Answers Apologetics Conference.
Our featured speaker this year is Abdu Murray. Abdu serves as a speaker and Senior vice President with Ravi Zacharias International Ministry. He was a devout Muslim who came to Christ after investigating the evidences that support the major world religions.
Join us for another engaging conference August 21-22 at Grace Fellowship in Waipio. Two days of inspirational worship, engaging seminars and teaching from some of the finest Christian scholars and apologists today.
Our Guest Speakers:
Abdu is a speaker and Senior Vice President of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and is the author of three books, including his latest book, Saving Truth – Finding Meaning and Clarity in a Post-Truth World. Abdu holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. Randy grew up as a PK (pastor’s kid) in South Florida. Although he was introduced to Christ at a young age it wasn’t until his time in college that he gave himself fully to do whatever and go wherever God would call him. Little did he know that God would prepare him for and eventually lead him to minister on the island of Molokai, Hawaii where he has ministered for the past 25 years as pastor of Molokai Baptist Church.
Curious by nature, Randy enjoys looking for answers to tough questions. This curiosity has not only placed him on a lifelong pursuit of truth, but it has spurned him on in his educational endeavors. He holds an undergrad degree from Liberty University as well as masters degrees from Tampa Bay Theological Seminary and Southern Evangelical Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary.
Though curious, Randy’s consuming passion is to communicate God’s Word in a clear and understandable way so that God’s glory is always unveiled, unbelievers are introduced to Jesus, and believers are instructed and equipped to live joy-filled, heaven-bound lives.
He has been married to his college sweetheart, Louise, for 32 years. They have five children — Clinton, Colton, Charisse, Cendall, and Caele.
